Wilderness Trace Pony Club
Wilderness Trace Pony Club is a member of the United States Pony Clubs (USPC) MidSouth Region covering the areas south of Lexington, KY (including but not limited to Boyle, Mercer, Garrard, Lincoln, Washington, and Marion Counties). The Charter was signed on September 30th, 1995.
WTPC currently has 13 members ranging from 9 to 19 years of age.
Mission:
The United States Pony Clubs, Inc., an organization for youth, provides a program that teaches riding, mounted sports, and the care of horses and ponies, thereby developing responsibility, moral judgment, leadership, and self-confidence.
Pony Club Pledge:
"As a member of the United States Pony Club, I stand for the best in sportsmanship as well as in horsemanship. I shall compete for the enjoyment of the game well played and take winning or losing in stride, remembering that without good manners and a good temper, sport loses its cause for being. I shall endeavor to maintain the best tradition of the ancient and noble skill of horsemanship, always treating my horse with consideration due a partner."
